Terms of use

These terms cover the documentation and self-hosting downloads.

This website and its downloadable VoltVault packages are provided by Smit Joshi. Contact: support@voltvaultapp.com.

1. Acceptance

By using this service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. The service provides documentation and downloads; it is not your hosted inventory system.

2. Software downloads

The VoltVault server and web client are offered as self-hosting downloads. Any included license controls copying, modification, and redistribution; these terms do not expand that license. If a download has no license, no permission is granted except as required by applicable law or separately stated in writing by the rights holder.

3. Self-hosting responsibilities

You are responsible for selecting and securing the host, network, domain, TLS configuration, user accounts, passwords, encryption keys, database, uploaded files, logs, backups, and connected devices in your deployment. You are also responsible for notices, permissions, retention rules, and laws that apply when other people use your installation.

4. Safety and acceptable use

Do not use VoltVault to violate law, infringe rights, probe systems without permission, bypass access controls, expose another person’s data, or interfere with services. Do not expose VoltVault or connected printer services directly to the public internet. Verify printer commands on a disposable job before relying on them.

5. Third-party products

VoltVault may interoperate with Docker, operating systems, reverse proxies, code hosts, and certain Bambu Lab printers. Those products have their own terms, privacy practices, and technical requirements. Bambu Lab does not sponsor or endorse VoltVault. Local printer protocols may change without notice and may stop working after firmware updates.

6. Documentation and availability

Smit Joshi may change or discontinue the documentation or downloads. Setup guidance may not fit every host, network, product firmware, or jurisdiction. Review commands before running them, back up data before upgrades or restores, and confirm results on the system you operate.

7. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the documentation and downloads are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Rights that cannot legally be disclaimed remain unaffected.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smit Joshi and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, inventory records, credentials, revenue, or use arising from the documentation or downloads. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

9. Changes and contact

These terms may be updated by posting a revised version and effective date. Questions may be sent to Smit Joshi at support@voltvaultapp.com.
